J.K. Rowling Set to Write Fantastic Beasts Trilogy as Harry Potter Spin-Off

J.K. Rowling who had a net worth of about $798 million as of 2008 and made a huge part of it from Harry potter novel series and movie. Now she is not only writing the screenplay for a film adaptation of her wizarding textbook "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", but she and Warner Brothers are turning the spin-off into a trilogy.

The New York Times reports that with the help of WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara, Rowling has agreed to writing three films, which will be set seven decades before the start of Harry Potter's story.

The films, which currently don't have any release dates or casting information, will follow magizoologist Newt Scamander, who is not directly linked to the Potter family, but rather a part of the wizarding world in general.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is neither a prequel nor a sequel to the Harry Potter series, but an extension of the wizarding world,” J.K. wrote on her Facebook page in September. “The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry’s gets underway.”
Getting more money is allowed, so carry on Rowling..........
