Laura Vandervoort is among the celebs who rang in the New Year with a proposal.
The former Smallville star is engaged to British beau Oliver Trevena, the actor and having popped the question on Dec. 31 at a castle in England, Vandervoort's rep confirmed to E! News.
Vandervoort, 29, flashed the dazzling diamond ring Treventa gave her for the first time on Tuesday night at the Vanity Fair Young Hollywood Party in Los Angeles. The bauble particularly sparkled against her black skirt and pale pink asymmetrical satin top that left just a peek of midriff showing.

She is best known for playing Supergirl on Smallville and Lisa on the short-lived alien-invasion drama V, Vandervoort currently stars as werewolf Elena Michaels on the Syfy series Bitten, adapted from Kelly Armstrong's Women of the Underworld book series.
You also might recognize her from the March 2014 issue of Maxim, featuring Vandervoort holding court on the cover in a slinky black bodysuit that's mostly see-through.
