Chiwetel Ejiofor going from bondage to Bond villain?

Firstly I would like to Congratulate Chiwetel Ejiofor, For Starring in an epic movie that will go down in history and will not easily be forgotten. It turns out that the Oscar party is hardly over for Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Although the 12 Years a Slave star lost out to Matthew McConaughey at the Academy Awards, Variety reports the actor is up for a lead role in the upcoming Bond film.

Variety says Ejiofor is the studio's "top choice" to play the villain, although no offer has been made yet. The returning cast will feature Daniel Craig as Bond plus Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Naomie Harris, with Sam Mendes (Skyfall) directing.

It's not the first time the 007 franchise will have plucked from Oscar's finest. The last actor to play a Bond villain was Javier Bardem, who wowed critics with his steely Raoul Silva.

Also having a stellar week? Ejiofor's 12 Years co-star Lupita Nyong'o, who landed a lucrative contract with LancĂ´me.
