TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR TO SELL £30M FLOP FOR JUST £20M

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to get rid of £30million transfer flop Erik Lamela by selling the attacker for just £20million, Metro reports.

The London club are ready to cash in on their record signing after an extremely disappointing season for the Argentine winger.

Lamela was purchased from Roma with the funds received from the sale of Gareth Bale but has played nowhere near the level expected from the White Hart Lane faithful.

The 22-year-old found it difficult to adapt to English football and was hit with niggling injuries throughout the campaign.

And it seems that Spurs have had enough with their purchase, ready to accept offers at two-thirds of his original fee.

A move back to the Italian Serie-A looks likely, with Inter Milan, Juventus, and former club Roma are all keen to sign the struggling star.

Lamela made only three Premier League starts during his time at Tottenham, but still has some hope with new coach Mauro Pochettino still uncertain whether he sees the former River Plate man as part of his first team plans.
