Justin Bieber Makes Plea Deal in DUI Case
justin Bieber's luck is changing.
The 20-year-old made a plea deal in his Miami DUI case, which will wipe out the drunken driving charge and keep him out of jail.
According to us-mag the charges against the Canadian crooner (DUI, resisting arrest without violence, and driving with an expired driver's license) will be dismissed. Bieber, whose toxicology report following the January incident determined he was not drunk but had marijuana and Xanax in his system, will have to pay a fine and attend anger management classes. He won't, however, be placed on probation, which was very important to Team Bieber.
The deal will be made official in court in the upcoming weeks.
This is the second piece of good news for Bieber this week. On Thursday, the Los Angeles District Attorney's office confirmed to Yahoo that they decided not to charge the "Boyfriend" singer with a felony for attempted robbery stemming from an incident last month in which a woman accused him of trying to wrestle her phone away. They cited "insufficient evidence."
Now, his overworked legal team just needs to square away his assault charge in Toronto, stemming from a December incident in which he allegedly attacked a limousine driver, and hope that charges related to egg-gate never come to fruition. (He still has civil suits pending.)
Bieber has had an epically bad year, which was capped off with the release of video footage in which he used racial slurs and told a racist joke. The video was recorded when he was 15, but it still made waves and he issued a public apology.
Since then, he has been keeping out of the spotlight a bit, spending time with his family. However, he hasn't quit Instagram. Earlier this week he caused a big to-do when he posted and deleted a photo of himself with on-again/off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Never a dull moment
