Amidst rumors that Beyonce, 32, and Jay Z, 44, are headed for a split after their joint On The Run tour wraps, a new report has emerged which alleges that Bey has been secretly apartment hunting in New York City for a Hov-less pad.
Just weeks after a video was leaked which saw Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, violently lashing out against Jay, Beyonce was spotted looking at an apartment in Chelsea, reports The New York Post.
In particular, Beyonce was looking at a “$21.5 million Chelsea penthouse,” the outlet is reporting.
“She was very quiet, as if she was looking on the sly,” their source added. Indeed, Jay wasn’t with her as she hunted, and the Post adds that Jay would hate to leave their Tribeca apartment.
Considering that Beyonce was reportedly checking out a 4,045 square foot apartment — half the size of their Tribeca home — the report adds that they “can say with certainty that Jay is not downsizing,”
“There’s no way a $20 million apartment is for her mother or her sister. That would be wildly unlikely.”
This report surfaces just a day after one which alleged that one of the reasons for Solange going hard on Jay Z was not only because of his too-close relationship with designer Rachel Roy, but because of his supposed affair with Rihanna, as well! “Solange was like, ‘Enough is enough — you must be [screwing] Rihanna,’” said the Page Six report.
