Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales Release Date Moved To 2017

The fifth installment of the film series, Dead Men Tell No Tales, was officially given a release date of July 7, 2017.

Originally, the sequel was set to premiere in summer 2015, but after the $190 million flop that was summer 2013’s The Lone Ranger—starring Pirates’ Johnny Depp and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and co., the same team behind the franchise—the release was delayed to work on the Pirates script.

Rumour has it Orlando bloom and Keira Knightley would be returning to star alongside Johnny depp 51 in the fifth installment.

The fourth Pirates film, 2011’s On Stranger Tides, grossed $1.04 billion, and in total the four movies have brought in $3.7 billion at the global box office.
