Ray J, 33, is officially in big trouble — legal trouble, that is. After a night that starting out with inappropriately — and accidentally — touching a woman’s butt turned into an evening of allegedly resisting arrest, Ray J has now reportedly been formally charged with 10 separate crimes on July 21, including sexual battery.
Alongside his misdemeanor battery charge, Ray J has now been charged with two counts of vandalism, four counts of resisting arrest and three counts of assault and battery, according to TMZ.

The charges were filed by the Los Angeles District Attorney on July 21, according to the report.
Here’s where things get interesting. On the evening Ray J was arrested at a swanky Los Angeles hotel, the alleged contact Ray J made with a woman’s butt was ultimately deemed “incidental,” according to TMZ. At that time, the police ultimately decided this was NOT a sexual battery case.
Now that a sexual battery misdemeanor charge has been filed against Ray J, many people are left scratching their heads and wondering why!
Ray J: Inside The Night Of His Arrest
On the night of Ray J’s arrest, the singer allegedly didn’t get in trouble for the butt incident, but things went wrong when, after the altercation, Ray J reportedly refused to leave the scene quietly. That’s when he was arrested. Later, he allegedly kicked out a window of the police car that was transporting him!
According to reports, he was booked that night for trespassing, battery (for allegedly spitting on an officer), vandalism and resisting arrest.
