Promoting Fake-ness: Cosmetic surgeon throws ‘plastic-surgery fashion show’

Fashion week inspired Dr Ramtin Kassir that he threw his own bash and called it "a fussion of art, fashion and plastic surgery"
According to page six, the show was dubbed by some attendees as a “plastic-surgery fashion show,” patients’ pictures hung on the wall while they paraded their nipped, tucked and Botoxed bodies through a crowd, which included New Jersey “Housewives” Melissa Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita, Teresa Aprea and Nicole Napolitano.

Kassir described his work as “living art” at the party at One Art Space Tuesday.
He explained, without irony, “It’s really not surgery, because if you do surgery on somebody you can tell, but if you can combine some techniques and call it art, you get this.”

Gesturing to the photos of his handiwork, Kassir said, “You can do aggressive things . . . but if you get them near those ratios and perspectives of art, they look amazing.”

Patients were heard discussing procedures, with one woman giddily describing how she almost overdosed on painkillers after having her ears pinned back.
