Donald Trump, 68 and Russell Brand have scores to settle and they chose twitter as the battle ground. It all started on Thursday when Trump called Brand a “major loser” and questioned why Brand’s ex-wife, pop star Katy Perry, ever married him.

Comedian/Actor Russell fired back at Trump, commenting on Trump’s hair and his inheritance, and even linking to an Atlantic article titled “In Financial Circles, It’s Pretty Well Known That Trump is a Deadbeat.”

Pagesix reports that the fight may have stemmed from a comment Brand, 39, made during an interview promoting his new book “Revolution” on SiriusXM Radio, during which he called the business tycoon a “bit daft.” He added, “It’s not like he’s a person who’s a super guy or anything. He’s just good at Hungry Hippos, and we live in Hungry Hippo land.” The interview taped Tuesday but doesn’t air on the show until Oct. 24.

Meanwhile, Piers Morgan, the new editor-at-large of MailOnline, couldn’t help but get involved when he posted an article on Friday listing the reasons he would rather be stuck on a desert island with Trump than Brand.

“Trump would work harder, build a better shelter, catch more fish and conjure up ways to give me a considerably better chance of being rescued,” Morgan wrote. “Brand, I fear, would simply sit on the beach all day, chanting manically about the inequities of the poorer shells while sitting in a giant gold-encrusted conch, when all I really want him to do is grab a spear and skewer a damn red snapper for dinner.”

Trump thanked Morgan for the article and then made another dig at Brand, dubbing the actor a “first class dummy.”
