According to fox 30 news, A pregnant woman in Jacksonville, Florida was shot in the stomach on Wednesday night, and subsequently lost the baby inside of her.
The incident happened to the 23-year-old pregnant Markeisha Brooks after she engaged in a Facebook fight with her "close" friend Virginia Wyche.
Here's what one local resident Christopher Cash said:
"They were arguing out front, something about Facebook. I walked out and just heard a pop."
Mr. Cash actually recorded a video of the incident which shows the 6-month pregnant woman slumped over her stomach in her chair immediately after she was shot.
Although Markeisha Brooks was taken to the hospital for injuries that were life threatening, she survived. Unfortunately her unborn child did not.
The mother of the shooter, who was arrested and given a $1M bond, was shocked that her daughter did this, and frankly thought something happened which no one else is reporting. She said:
"Somebody had to provoke my child … to do what she (did).”
There is No excuse in the world that can justify the action is what i think.
Condolences to Markeisha Brooks for the loss of her child, and we wish her a speedy recovery.
The lesson here is watch the type of friends you keep and also learn to control your anger
