Fans of child star actress Amanda Bynes might have to wait for 30 days more to welcome the actress from the psychiatric facility. Then judge has granted a 30-day extension from the actress’ doctors, who say she is “very ill” and unable to take care of herself, TMZ reports.
The 28-year-old was admitted for treatment less than 24 hours after posting a disturbing rant on Twitter — which she later recanted — accusing her father, Rick Bynes, of abuse. She said a “microchip” in her brain made her make the allegations.
The accusations followed a trouble-filled two weeks for the actress, which included a DUI arrest and a ban from swanky department store Barneys for alleged shoplifting.
It’s unclear whether Bynes’ parents will seek another conservatorship over their daughter, as they had initially intended. According to TMZ, Bynes feels “betrayed” by her parents’ role in her commitment to the psychiatric facility, so it would be difficult for them to control her.
