One of the greatest fashion designers of all time Oscar de la Renta is dead, the cause of his death was complications from cancer according to the New York times.
The famed designer most recently designed George Clooney's wife Amal Alamuddin's wedding dress.
In 2013, the Dominican-born designer admitted he had been battling cancer.
"Yes, I had cancer. Right now, I am totally clean. The only realities in life are that you are born, and that you die. We always think we are going to live forever. The dying aspect we will never accept. The one thing about having this kind of warning is how you appreciate every single day of life," he's quoted as saying by International Business Times.
Us Weekly reports that De La Renta had a form of gastric cancer and recently underwent an aggressive bout of chemo.
The designer did have wide celebrity clientele ranging from A list actress to First ladies of the United state. May his soul rest in peace
