First off, for those who do not know what Art Basel is all about, Art Basel stages art shows for high quality modern and contemporary art and is sited annually in Basel, Miami Beach and Hong Kong. Each show has participating galleries, exhibition sectors, artworks and parallel programming produced in collaboration with the host city's local institutions.
It turns out Miami Heat’s shooting guard Dwyane Wade collaborated with billionaire coal-mining entrepreneur Wayne Boich to host an exclusive two-part party Friday night during Art Basel with the help of Hublot and Haute Living, according to reports from Pagesix.
The websites reports that Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez, Adrien Brody, the Heat’s Justise Winslow, Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, artist Romero Britto, philanthropists Jorge and Darlene Perez and Ugo and Sara Colombo entered Wade’s and actress Gabrielle Union’s home through a secret garden maze filled with exclusive artwork by Mr. Brainwash, including a piece that offered up paintbrushes for people to leave their artistic mark.
After a courtyard cocktail hour, Wade’s private chef served up a four-course meal for the group of 60.
Guests were then transported from the house by luxury boats to the dock of Wayne and Cynthia Boich’s multimillion-dollar mega-mansion to continue partying at a Dom Perignon-filled after-party.
Director Michael Bay, Russell Simmons, Owen Wilson, Alonzo and Tracy Mourning and Chris and Adrienne Bosh were also amongst the big names in attendance.
