A 20-year-old Washington man is behind bars after allegedly strangling his girlfriend and then taunting her father through a text message to say that he killed her. Authorities say 20-year-old Gabriel Galan Navarro is being charged with first-degree murder for the death of Allison Leedy who was also 20. She planned to leave Mr Navarro after three years together, to move to California to study. Prosecutor Adrienne McCoy described the couple's relationship as one characterised by 'manipulation, isolation and psychological destruction.' After Navarro reportedly sent the twisted messages, he then called police to tell them about the murder and threatened to blow up his apartment building with a bomb. After police surrounded his home he eventually surrendered.
