Nigerian girl murdered in SA: Body to arrive Nigeria for burial on June 3rd
The body of 20 year old Naizi Evah from Edo state who was stabbed to death in her hostel at the Vaal University of Technology in South Africa willd arrive Nigeria on Tuesday June 3rd for interment, family sources have revealed.
Her Zimbabwean boyfriend, who is the chief suspect in the murder, was earlier arrested by South African police but has been granted bail pending the outcome of investigations.
At a tribute ceremony in her honor at the University premises this week, friends were seen weeping as they shared their experiences with the deceased young lady. One of her friends, Ripfumelo Mukhavele said late Naizi and her boyfriend had a turbulent relationship as they were always breaking up and making up but they never suspected it would end like this. Niazi's elder brother, Michael Evah who was present at the tribute night for Naizi said a case has been filed with the South African police but is hoping that the case is not swept under the carpet.

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to get rid of £30million transfer flop Erik Lamela by selling the attacker for just £20million, Metro reports.

Boko Haram Kingpin Hassan Ali Says He Got Engaged With 2 Chibok Girls
According to Leadership.ng, Hassan Ali was discovered and detained on the Damaturu-Maiduguri highway by the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) as he was trying to leave Maiduguri for Benisheik.
It happened 3 weeks ago when vigilantes mobilized groups to be given permission to go to Sambisa forest for the girls. When they spotted Ali and asked him to identify himself, the man pretended to be dumb, but "it was when he sensed death that he later confessed that he was a member of Boko Haram, and that he was sent to come to Maiduguri to buy yams worth N200, 000. He said he had finished his transaction and the truck had since left for Sambisa."
When asked about the abducted female students, Ali said they were neither hurt nor molested, fed well with canned food mostly. The alleged Boko Haram leader said that he, as Amir, was engaged to 2 school girls
The vigilante, who narrated the story, claimed he was among those interviewing him and said they handed Ali to Civilian-JTF officials later.
Leadership correspondent referred to numerous Civilian-JTF members in state, who verified the fact of the incident when questioned, however nobody could provide details on Ali's location at the current moment.
Female students abducted by Boko Haram group in Chibok, Borno State, have been missing for almost a month and a half. In the video released by the sect leader Abubakar Shekau, the terrorist number claimed the victims had been converted to Islam and said he would sell them at the market.
Some days ago, the Nigerian military stated that they had detected the whereabouts of the girls, adding they won't "go with force" in order not to hurt the children.
The rescue operation is currently in process, according to the military.

Nigerian military base Attacked By Boko Haram, 24 personnel feared killed
BBC reports that gunmen suspected to be members of Boko Haram this evening around 5pm attacked a security base in Buni Yadi, in Gujba LGA killing 24 officials. Residents of the area said the victims include 13 soldiers and 11 police officers and said the gunmen came in 10 Hilux vans, an armoured tank, and several motorcycles.
BBC Hausa Service reports that the gunmen told residents of the area to stay indoors as their target were the security personnel in the town.
The men then proceeded to attack the military base, a local government secretariat and burnt down several buildings.

Champions League Fans Targetted In Jos Bomb Blast, Three Dead Already!
At least three people were killed on Saturday in the central Nigerian city of Jos in an explosion targeting football fans watching the European Champions League final, the authorities said.
The blast came just days after a twin car bomb attack ripped through a crowded market in the city, killing 118 and raising fears of a spread of Boko Haram Islamist violence from the restive northeast.
“So far, we have three dead, three injured,” Chris Olakpe, the commissioner of police for Plateau state, of which Jos is the capital, told AFP.
“The target was the (football) viewing centre.”
Olakpe said it was too early to say who may have been responsible for the blast, which came with people on edge and nerves frayed about a fresh strike.
The police chief also declined to comment on reports that the explosion was a suicide bombing but revealed that the bomber’s improvised explosive device went off prematurely.
“He died in the wake of the heinous crime. He was consumed by his IED. It exploded before the viewing centre because of pressure from local youths and the alertness of the local people,” he added.
Pam Ayuba, spokesman for the Plateau state governor Jonah Jang, said the blast happened at about 9:30 pm (2030 GMT) on Bauchi Road, a predominantly Muslim area of the city.
Football is Nigeria‘s national sport and top European teams, particularly from the English Premier League but also Spain’s top flight, have a fanatical following.
Spanish giants Real Madrid took the Champions League title on Saturday.
So-called football “viewing centres” — often open air, big screen venues — have been targeted before, elsewhere in Nigeria.
Last month, suspected Boko Haram gunmen stormed a packed venue in Potiskum, northeast Yobe state, and shot dead two people showing the two Champions League quarter-final matches.
Police at the time did not directly blame Boko Haram for the attack but the group has been known for preaching against football as part of its agenda to impose strict Islamic law in northern Nigeria.
In several video clips, Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau has described football and music as a Western ploy to distract Muslims from their religion.
Tuesday’s bombings in Jos — Nigeria‘s deadliest — came despite the government’s internationally backed security crackdown after the militant group kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls last month.
Jos is the capital of Plateau state, which falls in Nigeria‘s so-called Middle Belt, where the mainly Christian south meets the Muslim-majority north, and has seen deadly sectarian clashes in the past.
Boko Haram has also previously attacked the religiously divided city.
