Britney Spears is the newest addition to the single's community.
Britney, 32, confirmed her split to her boyfriend of a year and a half David Lucado via twitter, saying "Ahhhh the single life"
TMZ reports there is incriminating video of Lucado dancing with and kissing another woman.
The footage, which was being shopped around, was quickly purchased by Britney’s father and conservator, Jamie Spears. Sources tell the site Jamie paid a hefty fee to secure the video—eventually showing it to his daughter, who ended the relationship.
A rep for the Spears patriarch tells TMZ Jamie took the necessary steps to protect his daughter from public embarrassment and should anyone release a copy of the video, he’ll sue for copyright infringement.
A source tells E! News that Spears is “heartbroken” over her relationship ending.
“She is in Vegas,” said the insider. “But she will get through it. She’s a strong girl and he was never right for her.”
