Serena Loses To Sister Venus In Roger Cup Semifinals
This is the first time Venus has beaten Serena in over five years to go on to the final round.
Venus Williams, 34, and Serena Williams, 32, take sibling rivalry to a whole new level. The sisters met up for the Rogers Cup semi-finals on Aug. 9 in Montreal. Venus walked away with the win and clinched her first victory against her sister in over five years. Congrats, Venus!
Venus is heading to the women’s singles Rogers Cup final! Venus beat her #1 ranked sister Serena 6-7 (2), 6-2 and 6-3 on Aug. 9.
Serena was the defending champion of the Rogers Cup, but Venus wasn’t going to let that trouble her. Venus was confident and took a 3-1 lead up until Serena tied the game 3-3
