History has been made, First off i dont think a Nigerian has won the Emmy awards and secondly this is the first emmy for the movie "orange is the new black"
Actress Uzo Aduba an American actress of Nigerian ancestry, who plays the role of 'Crazy eyes' on the show took home the Creative Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy, beating out five other women, including her costars Laverne Cox and Natasha Lyonne.
Morgan Freeman presented last night's Creative Emmy to a very emotional Aduba, who plays Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on the show.
"I'm speechless," she said upon accepting the golden trophy. "I don't know how to say how incredibly impressed I am to be a part of this show."
